Lawn care service treatment, Banbury, Oxfordshire

Lawn care service treatment, Banbury, Oxfordshire

Why do we offer a Lawn care treatment Service? For many a lawn is one of the most pivotal parts of a garden, its the main feature that brings the rest of the garden together. However just like any other part of the garden it needs maintenance, not just mowing. A healthy weed free lawn is key to keeping it in tip top condition. A good healthy lawn starts below ground level in the root / soil zone. Most lawns that we look after have had little in the way of maintenance, weeds have taken hold aswell as moss and thatch. This lawn is an example we will use to demonstrate… Continue Reading

Keeping on top of Winter Lawn Care

Keeping on top of Winter Lawn Care

Banbury gardeners and Banbury Lawncare insist on keeping on top of Winter lawn care even once the grass stops growing at this time of the year. As autumn turns to winter, make the most of any dry days and rake the lawn to keep it free of leaves. A thick layer of leaves will smother a lawn and weaken the grass, and it also provides winter shelter for unwelcome garden pests. Avoid walking on your lawn if it’s frosted, as this can also damage the grass. During a sunny break the mower can be used to just top the grass, therefore the mower should be on the highest setting. Never cut… Continue Reading

Lawn treatments – Scarification, Banbury, Oxfordshire

Lawn treatments – Scarification, Banbury, Oxfordshire

This front garden consists of two small lawns on a double fronted property in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The lawn was tired and miserable looking, full of moss and needed feeding to help it re-generate again. Often its not always necessary to completely rip up and existing lawn just to replace it with a new turfed lawn. This front lawn simply needed a little bit of tender loving care and now its back to its former glory. Firstly it was given a weed and moss kill treatment, which kills the existing moss in the lawn. Then three weeks later the lawn is scarified to remove all the dead moss and thatch that… Continue Reading
