Garden maintenance in Turweston Near Brackley, Northamptonshire
Banbury Gardeners in association with Brackley Gardeners welcome a new garden maintenance in the picturesque village of Turweston, Brackley. This beautiful garden is fortunate to borrow trees from a neighbouring garden to make it feel larger than it actually is in comparison.
The garden is laid out primarily around a large lawn with shaped borders consisting of plantsman style planting and large drift combinations of shrubs, perennials and roses. Emphasis is very much on summer flowering interest. The raised patio is swathed with pots of colour and low planting not to interrupt the view across the garden. The lower part of the garden is a woodland garden using the borrowed neighbouring trees to create an oasis for dry and moist shade loving plants. Here Hellebores, Geraniums, Epimediums and Brunnera make quite an impact. Pulmonarias (lungworts) awash with spring colour amongst the collections of primroses and snowdrops.
A selection of the borders nearer the house will be undergoing a re-planting over the coming months and into spring to provide further colour and interest and to try and make them more low maintenance yet maintain the colour through the seasons.
