Introduction

A modern property and garden located close to the heart of Bodicote village which enjoys a good degree of privacy throughout the year. Banbury Gardeners complete a garden refreshment to a garden in the heart of Bodicote near Banbury.

New Refreshment Works carried out include:

  • New Block Paved Driveway and front path
  • Front beds made smaller and easier to maintain planted with Lavenders and carpeting London Pride
  • A raised bed in sleepers around a raised manhole surrounded with evergreen seasonal planting
  • A paved utility enclosed area for wheelie bins and greenhouse with a raised bed soft fruit growing area
  • Narrower shaped borders to the side garden with turf, primarily planted with Cottage garden favorites
  • Wavy borders in the rear  garden made narrower to reduce maintenance and ability to plant seasonal color bedding to the front
  • A newly updated planting scheme to provide year-round interest and home products for the homeowner
  • A new enlargement patio for entertaining with a low brick retaining wall using 600mm x 600mm buff pavers
  • A feature border between Kitchen and Conservatory with Water feature to be added soon planted primarily with Evergreen mound forming plants
  • Training wires on the Boundary fences to support Climbing Roses, Clematis and Perennial Sweet Peas
  • New trees planted to include A Blenheim Orange Apple Tree and a Greengage, Existing flowering cherry planted with Evergreen winter flowering clematis to provide winter interest

Priority is given to planting that provides interest and nourishment for local wildlife and beneficial insects. Bird life is very important and a number of plants that are berrying for seasonal interest.

The garden will be maintained every 6 months for seasonal maintenance with the owner wishing to undertake a majority of the onward care themselves. Banbury Lawncare will visit every 11 weeks to provide FEED and Weed treatments to keep the lawn in tip-top condition.
